Supporting neurodiversity in veterinary practice
At The Vet Project, we want to make lives better for vets and vet practice teams.

We started The Vet Project in 2022, with one simple purpose: to make life better for veterinary teams. We had both seen first hand the toll that working in the veterinary industry was having on our friends and colleagues, and we knew that there was so much scope to make it better, so we decided to be that change. We run workshops, offer neurodiversity coaching and speak at events to promote understanding of neurodiversity in the sector.

We know many veterinary teams want to better understand neurodiversity… but aren’t always sure where to start. So we’ve created three free, practical resources to help. These resources are helpful whether you’re exploring neurodiversity for yourself, supporting a colleague, or leading a team. They’re designed to be practical, easy to share, and useful across the whole workplace.
The resources include:
Essential ADHD Facts
A simple overview that clears up common myths and misunderstandings, particularly around ADHD in adults and workplace settings.
Line managing someone who is neurodivergent
Practical guidance for managers, with helpful starting points for supportive conversations.
A quick guide to reasonable adjustments
An accessible introduction to reasonable adjustments, including common questions around disclosure, eligibility, and what adjustments can look like in practice.

Reasonable adjustments for neurodivergence - the easy way!
Are you neurodivergent and struggling to know what reasonable adjustments to ask for? Do you find it daunting to ask for them?
We can help!
We have put together a coaching package designed to help you formulate reasonable adjustments, and then to support you to ask for them.
In the first two sessions we’ll explore your unique set of ND traits, then together we’ll figure out what to ask for to help you to shine at work. In the final session we can either prepare for a reasonable adjustments meeting with your manager, or use the session to come along to your reasonable adjustments meeting (remotely) and support you to ask for what you need.
You'll get
-
Three online one to one coaching sessions (one of these can be a meeting with your manager)
-
Your personalised list of reasonable adjustments suggestions to take away
-
All for just £350

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Chris White,
VMG Director
I would recommend to anyone in a leadership role, or who is experiencing challenges themselves or with others that may be related to neurodiversity, to reach out to The Vet Project. They are experts in this area and their advice is practical, knowledgeable, and non-judgemental
A Neurodiversity in Practice Training Delegate
I felt very seen throughout a lot of the training, it was encouraging to have ND training that actually felt representative
Mary Salmons-Forsey,
Vet at Vets4Pets
This came at the right time for me. I have now learnt to recognise my stress triggers and have a toolbox to help me cope when invariably it is a stressful day. Invaluable and highly recommended. Made such a difference to not only my work life, but also to me generally.
